Assessments - 95%
All formal assessments are announced in advance and posted on the homework board in the classroom. Typically, review worksheets are given as homework assignments prior to the assessment.
If you are in school on the day of an assessment you are expected to take it unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Projects, journals, and looking backs may also be assigned throughout the marking period.
Journals are writing tasks that are assigned and collected during class. The topics are related to the content being studied and mathematics.
Looking Backs are assignments that assess knowledge of prior concepts taught.
Homework - 5 %
Homework is checked at the beginning of class. If you arrive late without an excused pass the homework will not be accepted for credit. If you are absent, you have an equal number of days to your absence to make up the homework. Late homework will not be accepted for credit.
